FUNDING RESOURCES

On June 24th, the Papio-Missouri River NRD sponsored a virtual Funding Workshop Open House as part of its ongoing effort to update the regional multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Community stakeholders joined us online to hear from funding experts about various funding programs or opportunities to implement hazard mitigation projects.

Presentations discussed funding opportunities through the Nebraska Department of Energy and Environment (NDEE), the Nebraska Environmental Trust Fund, the Hazard Mitigation Assistance program administered through the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency, cost-share programs through the NRD, and more. Each presentation provided a brief overview of the program and benefits, with an open Q&A period following the presentation with the local expert.
